In this guideline, I will cover some basic aspects of the user permission and also the Editor. Before you start submitting any article, please make sure: when you click on the submit article link, you do not encounter any Permission error. Should you encounter one, please message me via the private message. Should you have any image, please resize it to at most 500px in dimension. Author - You may submit an article and edit only your own article, but you are not able to approve / publish it to the website. Editor - You may submit, and edit your own and other peoples' article, but you are not able to publish it to the website. Publisher - Capable of submitting, editing and publishing his own and other peoples' article. After submitting any article, Author / Editor should inform the admins via the forum or private message system. WYSIWYG Editor When you are able to submit news, you are now shown this page: You will notice three buttons on the upper right corner. The first one, Save followed by Apply and Cancel. Save - Save current article and exits from any further editing. Apply - Save the article but remains in editor view. Cancel - Cancel editing / submitting the article. And there are two editor available. The upper editor is meant for Introductory article, while any text that is inside the lower article will only be shown after any user clicks on the 'Read More' button. The editor interface is quite straightforward, much like your Microsoft Word program. I will explain the use of a few common buttons, which are the Insert Picture - , and Insert Hyperlink - Insert Picture After clicking the icon, a popup will appear. Default page will show the Shared Image view where all pictures that have been uploaded into the server are listed. You may use any available picture here OR upload your own. For the sake of organizing, please click the My Images tab and upload your images there. You may organize your folder in any way you way (create new directory, rename pictures / delete directories) but my advice, keep them neat and tidy. It will help you a lot in the future. Upload Images: By clicking this image - , another popup will appear which allows you to upload your own image. Browse you image and click upload. Later, simply select it and click Insert. Insert Hyperlink After clicking the InsertHyperlink button, a popup will appear and allows you to insert hyperlink to a highlighted text / phrase. Again, there are tonne of options. Page on This site tab - You may link it to Menu / Articles / Static Content that exists on the site. Web Location - You may enter you own website URL in the URL box. And click insert. Extra How to insert a youtube video? Simple. First, go to youtube, and copy the URL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HgABDrRqBI Now, in your editor, enter [youtube]4HgABDrRqBI[/youtube] - Change all [ and ] with { and } respectively.
