At the parliamentary debate on the government's efforts to address
inflation on Monday, sole Independent MP Datuk Paduka Ibrahim Ali stood
up and really let rip; firing salvos at the government and opposition
benches. ANIZA DAMIS and ELIZABETH JOHN speak to Ibrahim
Q: On Monday, you seemed very angry with all the Members of Parliament. Why?
A:
I expected the debate to concentrate on the price hike. But when they
start debating, I saw it divert. Speeches became political -- accusing
each other on matters not related to the price hike.
Everyone brought up issues that had already been said in Parliament and this took up time.
So, when petty things cropped up, and people still repeat what was said
before, I became a little bit angry. That's why I stood up and spoke my
mind.
They said, "We have to go on an austerity drive. So, the
government cut 10 per cent off cabinet members' entertainment
allowance."
I don't like it. Especially when there were accusations against others, and I know the accuser's background.
If
you want to accuse others and say "You are morally no good", you must
make sure you yourself are good. If you want to say that people are
dirty, you must make sure you are really clean.
So, when I
listen to members from the government bench or opposition bench
accusing this and that, yet at the same time I know their background, I
cannot take it.
If you live lavishly, in a big bungalow, where
did you get the money? If you do business, how come you can make so
much profit? "Sama saja lah!" (pot calling the kettle black). That's
why I said, "Don't talk, lah. Because I know your background."
I didn't intend to create trouble or make people angry. I just wanted them to do their job.
We should value the time of Parliament and be focused.
I did my homework for the debate. I couldn't say what I wanted to say,
because the debate went off-course. If in Parliament people are
professional, then you will follow the trend.
If the trend is a hoo-hah kind of trend, we will also become hoo-hah. That's why I became angry.

 I was there with fellow MCOBs today. As expected the seats provided were not enough to seat the MCOBs who came to support the MCKK team. However that does not stop us from supporting our beloved MCKK team. The MCKK team performed well but other teams were better. There are still many things to be improved and hopefully they will perform better in proceeding years. Here is the results :-
1st Place : Sekolah Seri Puteri ( SSP )
2nd Place : Sekolah Sultan Alam Shah ( SAS )
3rd Place : Sekolah Menengah Sains Raja Tun Azlan Shah ( SERATAS )
4th Place : Malay College Kuala Kangsar ( MCKK )
5th Place : Kolej Tunku Kurshiah ( TKC )

 The Finale Wind Orchestra 2008 is finally here. With less than 24 hours to go, the excitement is definitely building. Nway enough with the chit chat, here are the final details of 2morows programs.. Thanxs to joebar, fuqaha, acap 08 and abg hasnol for keeping us updated till now.
230 pm: Arrival of guests
245 pm: Arrival of Minister of Education
300 pm: Arrival of Deputy Prime Minister
315 pm: Finale Wind Orchestra Begin

The time is here! The Finale for the SBP Wind Orchestra!
Venue: Putrajaya International Convention Center (PICC)
Date : 21 June 2008 (PLEASE WEAR OUR BEAUTIFUL KOLEQ TIE!)

p/s : From past experience, please be there by at least 1 hour early.. tickets do not mean you are guaranteed a seat. So like it or not.. tickets are just simply a formality when actually the truth is "first come first served" so friends.. fear not is you could not secure a ticket.. just come early and go straight to the hall.. nway.. joebar is kind enough to book tickets for us so folks, call/message/email joebar and lets us all go to the Wind Orchestra Finale 2008.. Semalam 4 Jun 2008, Paklah telah mengumumkan fiesta isi
minyak, fiesta ini berjaya menyebabkan stesen minyak stesen minyak
diseluruh negara penuh. Di ampang misalnya, highway sesak dengan ribuan
kereta mengambil giliran untuk mengisi minyak, dan bukan di ampang
sahaja, malah diseluruh kl, walhal dengar cerita fiesta ini mendapat
sambutan dari seluruh negara!!
Sebelum
ini, yang amat berhormat perdana menteri kita telah mengumumkan bahawa
harga minyak akan naik pada bulan lapan dengan kadar 40 sen seliter,
hal ini menjadikan rakyat terkedu apabila kira-kira jam 6 petang waktu
tempatan 4 jun, berita mengenai kenaikkan harga minyak diumumkan. malah
kenaikkan yang lebih awal dari jangkaan ini bertambah merungsingkan
rakyat apabila harga nya naik sebanyak 78 sen seliter!! Kemanakah janji
paklah yang ditaburkan dulu? adakah paklah telah mengikut jejak langkah
bekas pemimpin kita Dr M yang dikatakan masuk air itu? Peranan kerajaan
untuk meringankan beban rakyat ternyata akan menjadi satu LAGENDA dan
BONEKA dalam panji kerajaan. Bahkan rakyat semakin hari semakin ragu
terhadap pucuk pimpinan Kerajaan, PM menjanjikan bahawa subsidi akan
diberikan kepada pemilik kenderaan sebanyak RM 600 ringgit sewaktu
mempebaharui cukai jalan dalam setahun, dan ternyata teknik ini berjaya
MENGABURI mata rakyat. Mari kita lakukan sedikit kiraan matematik.

Well i guess all of us heard the latest news about Mahathir quiting his UMNO post which also means he quits UMNO. I was shocked actually because it seems he had done so much for the party for decades. He criticised Pak Lah for his wrong doings and mis-conduct of his administration not mentioning about K J and all but it seems to be awkward and mysterious. Lets dive and discuss this matter together guys. |
