Dengan Sukacitanya, MOCOBA Melaka Chapter would like to invite MCOBA teams (Batch/Chapter) & MCOBA’s spouse/family to participate in our yearly MCOBA Melaka Bowling tournament.

This year it will be at the newly opened Melaka International Bowling Center in Ayer Keroh MITC (just 5 minutes drive from Ayer Keroh tol), see link http://www.xlys.com.my/2009/09/melaka-international-bowling-centre-mibc/

Date: 24th April 2010 (Saturday)..2 weeks after Old boys Weekend..pls mark in your diary/iphone/blackberry etc

Time: 10.30am-1.30pm

Venue:      Melaka International Bowling Centre Ayer Keroh Tmn Tasik Utama

Format:

1. MCOBA Open (Best top 3 teams..either batch/chapter)- Fee: RM300 per team (still same like last year)

2. MCOBA Spouse & Family (Best top 3 individuals)- Fee: RM50 per person

3. MCOBA Highest Frame (1 bowler)

4. MCOBA Highest Score (Best top 3 individuals)

The Fees will cover the cost of 3 frames+ shoes, prizes, souvenir cap & lunch at D’ Pelican (Just beside Melaka Zoo) where prize giving will be done.

Pls state your Team’s name & Name of players & your spouse/family member’s Name for the spouse/family event. No limit to the number of teams for batch or chapter entering the tournament. Pls also provide me contact number.

Mark it in your calendar and plan your trip early! After bowling, that malam you can still catch ikan bakar at Umbai/Serkam/Alai..or Asam Pedas at Kota Laksmana with friends/family.

Recently (25/1/2010), Malay College Kuala Kangsar was among 20 schools nationwide selected to receive the 'High Performance School' status, an upgrade to the cluster school status which we received a few years back.

Being part of this elite group, MCKK now has the autonomy that has been desired for ages. The management of the school has almost if not full autonomy on the academic and co-curricular activities conducted in the school. Among the unique privileges benefited from this millstone status are more flexible schooling hours and subject selection as well as the ability to promote smart performing students to a level higher, similar to those practiced before when standard 3 students are promoted to standard 5 based on merits (PTS), though not sure if it is applicable to secondary school such as MCKK but it would certainly be a welcoming one.

First and foremost thanks to all for coming and making this event such a meaningful event that i'm sure everybody had fun. It was a total success and hope that in future this event would be participated by more members of our batch.
