Malay College Class of 2004

For all you know.. Malay College Kuala Kangsar our 'beloved koleq' has implemented many ways to improve its standard. But let me say something thats in my mind for all this while and I would like everyone to know about this..

From the beginning when we entered koleq we knew that it was a prestigious school known all over Malaysia..but can someone tell me,why are we so proud of it??? Let me refresh our minds. Firstly, whats the big deal with all the history while koleq now is not 'performing'??? When we open our mouth we would say "waa..budak koleq (oldboys) ramai success jadi ceo sana sini, jadi menteri..ramai sultan-sultan kat malaysia ni sekolah kat sini"  From the phrases we heard we know that koleq has a lot of past 'gemilang' histories. But as we can see now, new schools has taken most of the achievments. Eventhough some of it, we still have it in our hands but what about other events and achievments???

Let me get this simple, Sekolah Alam Shah, Tunku Kurshiah College, Sekolah Dato' Abdul Razak and other premier schools, we hear about them most of the time now. Not only that they had achieve many awards and prizes, even major exams results they conquer.

Sorry for the late continuation. I was very busy lately.

 Now let me continue. Let me give a thought for you guys. As we all know koleq has many good histories. Lately koleq is not producing a lot of successful people anymore. Im not saying that koleq is not producing any, but not as much as the senior old boys in the past. How can we change this? Even i myself do not have the answers. Maybe if we look into the past we will find the answers that we are seeking all this while. I still remember when I was studying in koleq, every year when the old boys weekend(OBW) is held, koleq will host a carier talk. The main reason the event is held is to make the students aware of their future and how can the students achieve it. Sadly are there any changes? Yes there is a little tiny winy changes and improvement and its just for some time. After a week ahead, we will come back to the old habit and be the same. I just dont understand why.

 From my other point of view, I always think that something is not right. Are we being cursed? Why cant we change? Few students stood up and tried to change koleq by giving advices and it turned out to be a failure. Even the school administrators has made a lot of drastic changes but it just wont work. Koleq becomes dull each and everyday. We dont hear about koleq as much as we did in the past. New SBP schools and even daily schools are conquering the headlines for their success and achievements. We should be ashamed because the past is not the same as it is now. Koleq is the first SBP in Malaysia and its very successful last time. Why it is not now? Where have all the "magic" gone? What more shameful is that we are in the headlines for our discplinery problems. Oh God..how can it be like this. Are we reaching the end of our beloved alma mater?

 I think the time has come for us to change all of this. Im hoping all of the past years students that are excel in their studies, already working and have a good carier and those who love their alma mater to lend your ears and helping hands to change this situation and make things better. If we dont start now, then when should we start? A malay wordings comes into my mind, "jangan biar nasi menjadi bubur". Do we have to wait until its too late? I dont think so. Its better if we change now even if we have to start from scratch. People can say anything they like whether they want to condemn or anything but being a budak koleq it hurts to hear it with your own ears. People are making fun of us. They look down on us now and they are asking "where have the successful students of MCKK gone?" Its annoying to hear it and it hurts more when our own rivals from SAS, SDAR, TKC and others says that.

 To round up all this, I hope that koleq will turn out to be what it was supposed to be and succeed in the eyes of everyone. Lets make the history repeat itself. Make it the past and the present. We dont have to be afraid if we are one of the cursed victims. We should help too. Even i didnt succeed with flying colours. What is more important is the experience the we have. Learnt from our mistakes and we can improve everything insyaAllah. It will be heart warming to hear and see that all of the major and minor exams, events and competitions held in Malaysia will be dominated by the glorious Malay College Kuala Kangsar again. Let THE NEW BEGINNING begins with a good beginning!

-p.s- Im not trying to condemn and hurt anybody nor any entity. Its just a food for thought for all of us budak koleq.
